Evolution of the number of signals equipped with TBL1+

Annual evolution of the number of light signals equipped with TBL1+ on the entire Infrabel network.

In Belgium, there are currently three types of driving assistance systems, designed to work in harmony.

  • The Memor-Crocodile gives an automatic warning to the driver
  • TBL1 gives an automatic warning to the driver and causes an automatic stop if a closed signal is passed without authorization.
  • TBL1+ gives a warning to the driver and causes the train to stop automatically, but there is also discrete speed control at certain locations (here at the approach of a signal) which allows protection at risk points.
